"To be part of the Bride you have to be divorced from everything in the world."

i've posted this before but i did again for me to remember:

"A young man who, in his search for God, came to study at the feet of a wise man. One day the teacher took his pupil to a lake and led him out into shoulder-deep water. Placing his hands on the student's head, he suddenly pushed him under the water and held him there until the young man, in desperation, fought his way to the surface. In utter shock and confusion, the student stared at the old man as if to ask, 'What in the world are you doing?' The teacher, in response, looked at his pupil and said, 'When you want God as much as you wanted air, you shall find Him."

and i'm done with xanga for real. it bores me

"Fear is a form of worship. It is a form of bowing the heart in submission. Fear is the recognition of the greatness of something else. You tremble at something greater." -Allen Hood

I am (you are) to fear nothing but the Lord. No evil, no circumstances. I choose to only worship the Lord. I will not submit to anything but Him. Therefore, if I have fear I am worshipping and bowing to something other and lesser than Him. I will not acknowledge anything greater than the Lord so I cannot have fear (of anything but Him).

I (we) must fear the Lord. It is not only commanded in Scripture, it is a form of worship and submission to Him and His authority. I choose for Him to be all I will tremble at. I choose for Him to be all I fear.
